SWIFT CREEK'S J. J. FLASH
NBDCA
HF
Champion&2004 Amateur DOY
7/3/2003-3/20/2017
We
lost JJ 3/20/2017 passing at home while asleep. He was a special
dog and one of our favorites of all time. He gave us 13 of the
best years we have ever had. JJ sired 14 liters and his bloodline
will
always be in our kennel. Gone but never forgotten! JJ was out of
Jake and Guinevere's last litter. We kept him because of his
disposition
and conformation to carry on our bloodlines. JJ progressed faster
and easier than any Lab we have owned. He was an absolute
natural
hunting machine. He was pointing for extended time (minutes) and
marking and retrieving to perfection.
He
was a dark yellow male and weighed 80pounds. He had great conformation
with an otter tail without feathering. JJ was athletic, well muscled,
and oozes with enthusiasm. He proved his bloodlines in a hurry reaffirming
our kennel's breeding misson. He gobbled up training like it was
dog chow yet was calm and quiet in the house. JJ, in his first full
season of competition was the 2004 top amateur dog(DOY) in the NBDCA
and also finished the 2004 season as the #4 qualifier in the Hunter
division for the NBDCA National Tournament held in March 2005. JJ
received 2 firsts, 2 seconds, and 2 third place finishes in 10 events.
He has since completed his championship. JJ won the Bear Lake Championships
flushing singles title in his first event in the open division on
Feb. 19-20, 2005 becoming the first flushing dog to qualify for
the 2005 NBDCA National Championships Tournament! JJ averaged 10
pups/litter in in his first year of breeding. He threw many excellent
pointing pups. JJ earned his Certified Pointing Retriever(CPR) title
10-03-2009. Happy hunting forever JJ! |
